Terms of service

The agreement between you and Estylr when you use this site or book through the marketplace.

1. What Estylr is

Estylr is a marketplace. We connect you with independent professionals and businesses, and we handle the booking, the reminders and the payment.

We do not employ them, set their prices, or perform the service ourselves.

2. What the words mean

  • 2.1"We", "us" and "Estylr" mean Estylr Technologies.
  • 2.2"You" means the person holding the account.
  • 2.3"Professional" means a salon, studio, or independent practitioner listed on the platform.
  • 2.4"Booking" means an appointment arranged through Estylr.

3. Who can use it

You need to be 18 or older to hold an account and make a booking.

Keep your account details to yourself — bookings made from your account are treated as yours.

4. Booking and paying

A booking is a contract between you and the professional. The price shown before you confirm is the price you owe.

You can pay online or in person, depending on what that professional accepts.

5. Cancelling

Set out in full on the cancellation and refund policy pages, which form part of these terms.

6. What we expect from you

The short version: turn up, be decent, and be honest.

  • 6.1Turn up for bookings, or cancel them.
  • 6.2Treat professionals with respect. Abuse or harassment ends an account.
  • 6.3Write reviews only about appointments you actually had.
  • 6.4Do not use the platform to arrange anything unlawful.

7. What we expect from professionals

They work only within what they are trained and, where the law requires it, licensed to do. They honour the price they listed and keep their tools and workspace clean.

They pass an identity check before they can take a booking. Breaking these terms ends the listing.

8. Where our responsibility ends

We are responsible for the platform: the booking working, the payment being handled properly, your data being looked after.

The service itself is delivered by the professional, and the contract for it is between you and them. Where something goes wrong we will investigate, refund where a refund is due, and remove people from the platform — but we do not accept liability for the professional's work beyond that.

Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Content you post

Reviews and photographs you post stay yours. You give us permission to show them on the platform.

We remove content that is untrue, abusive, or not about a real appointment.

10. Suspending an account

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will say why.

You can close your account at any time. Bookings already made still stand.

11. If your use costs us

If you break these terms or the law and that causes a claim against us, you cover the costs of dealing with it. This does not apply to anything caused by our own failure.

12. Things outside anyone's control

Neither side is in breach for a delay caused by something genuinely outside its control — a natural disaster, a strike, a nationwide outage.

If a booking is affected, you are refunded in full.

13. Disagreements

Talk to us first. Most things are settled that way, and it is faster than any alternative.

If we cannot settle it, the dispute goes to arbitration in Bengaluru under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, before a single arbitrator, in English.

14. Complaints

Our Grievance Officer handles complaints about the platform and about content on it, acknowledging within 24 hours and resolving within 15 days, as India's Information Technology Rules require.

Write to the address on our contact page, marked for the Grievance Officer.

15. If part of this fails

If a court finds any clause unenforceable, the rest stands. Our not enforcing something once does not mean we have given up the right to.

These terms, together with the privacy, cancellation and refund policies, are the whole agreement between us.

16. Changes and governing law

If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will tell you before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page changes with it.

These terms are governed by the law of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction, subject to the arbitration clause above.
